    VCM Summer Program

    Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) invites students from Vandecook College of Music to experience the convenience of living on campus during the summer of 2011.  With a state-of-the-art residence hall, a world class campus center, several dining options and easy access to downtown Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology offers all of the benefits of home in the heart of the city.  Students will live in State Street Village (SSV), which is IIT's newest residence hall, and features a variety of living options.  Wireless internet, cable, community kitchens, on-floor laundry and 24-hour security are just a few of the amenities SSV offers. 

    Request your preferred room and board plan online at vandercook.iit.edu.  Early registration is available from March 5 to June 1, 2011, 5pm.

    Room Types
    Room
    Double Room 1 large room shared by two people connected to a similar room by a full bathroom.
    Single Room A double room occupied by one person, bathroom is shared with residents of an adjoining room.
    2 or 3 Bedroom A 2 or 3-bedroom apartment with kitchen, living room and private bathroom. Rate listed is for a bedroom within the apartment. Limited availability.
    Guest Suites in Gunsaulus Hall Due to campus renovations, the Guest Suites will be closed in Summer 2011.
    Meal Plans
    A variety of meal plans are offered for Vandercook students. Meal plans are offered with or without Bonus Points (which are equvialant to $1). Bonus Points offer you the flexibility to make purchases at various on campus dining outlets. Board plan meals will be eaten in the MTCC Commons. Meal plans are required of all Vandercook students. Bonus points and meals will expire at the close of each week and are not cumulative. Board plan prices are listed per week.

    Parking Options

    On Campus Parking:

    Available 24-hours per day. Costs are: $35/week; $70 for 2 -5 weeks; $100 for 6 or more weeks.   

    US Cellular Parking:

    Available 7am-6pm, no shuttle provided.  Costs are: $20/week; $40 for 2-5 weeks; $60 for 6 or more weeks.

    Reservations & Payments
    NOTE:  Registration begins on March 5, 2011.

    Room and Board Requests:

    To make your request for VanderCook housing, meal plan or parking, log onto http://myroom.iit.edu/vcm/. Once logged into the portal, select your preferred housing accommodations, meal plan and parking. 

    Payment:

    In order to hold your reservation, a minimum payment of $50.00 must be received ten days prior to the start date of each session you are registered for. If the minimum payment is not received, your reservation will be canceled. In order to check-in to your room, full payment for housing, meal plan, and, if applicable, parking, must be received at or prior to check-in.

    You can make a payment by credit card, check or money order. Cash payments are not accepted. To make a credit card payment online. Personal checks or money orders should be made payable to Illinois Institute of Technology and mailed to:

    Cancellation Policy:

    Cancellations for housing, meal plan, and if applicable, parking, must be made in writing, ten days prior to the start of each session for a full return. Cancellations made between nine days and the start of the session will forfeit a $50.00 cancellation fee.
