Faculty and Staff Assistance Program
Beginning November 1, 2005, you and your family members
will have access to a Faculty and Staff Assistance Program
(AP). This new benefit acknowledges that at one time
or another during our lives, we're all subjected to
the stresses of life. And inevitably, the problems we
experience touch all areas - including the work place.
Consider: Anxiety, chemical dependency, divorce, job
stress, child/elder care, family problems, depression,
financial or legal difficulties, loneliness, relationship
conflicts, career confusion, parenting.
The AP will be provided by Perspectives, Ltd. It offers
cost-free assessment and referral services by a professional
counselor either by phone or in person. There is also
an online resource that gives access to articles and
searchable databases. The program is designed to assist
people, not only when they are in the midst of a problem,
but also to address issues proactively before they become
problems. The AP is entirely voluntary and confidential.
Perspectives has offices in greater metropolitan Chicago
and Northwest Indiana.
Watch for upcoming publicity concerning supervisory
training as well as faculty and staff orientation sessions.
