Tuition remission is applicable to courses
taken for credit or audited (audit must be approved by
the professor). Non-credit certificate programs are not
covered by this benefit. Please note that graduate level
courses are generally a taxable
benefit to the employee unless certain exceptions
determined by the IRS apply.
Full-Time Faculty and Staff
Full-time faculty and staff are granted
full tuition
waivers (undergraduate and graduate) for a maximum
of 9 credit hours during Fall and Spring semesters and
6 credit hours for Summer. For programs that operate on
the quarter system, waivers are granted to a maximum of
7.2 credit hours each quarter.
Part-Time Staff
Part-time staff who regularly work between 23.25 and 31.00
hours/week receive a tuition
waiver of 50% per credit hour for undergraduate and
graduate level courses, subject to the credit hour limitations
specified above. Part-time employees who regularly work
more than 31.00 but less than 38.75 hours/week receive tuition
waiver 75% per credit hour for undergraduate and graduate
level courses, subject to the credit hour limitations specified
above.
Dependent Children and Spouse/Domestic
Partner
of Full-Time Faculty and Staff Members
A full tuition
waiver is granted for the undergraduate study of
dependent children, spouses and eligible domestic partners.
A tuition waiver of 50% per credit hour will be granted
for all graduate study, subject to the credit hour limitations
above.

partners of part-time employees who regularly work more
than 31.00 but less than 38.75 hours/week receive tuition
waiver of 75% per credit hour for undergraduate level
courses and 37.5% per credit hour for graduate level
courses, subject to the credit hour limitations specified
above.
