    Does IIT provide benefits for same-sex domestic partners?

    A.  IIT extends benefits to same-sex domestic partners and their eligible dependents if the employee has submitted a certification of partnership.

    Does IIT offer Life Insurance?

    A.  All benefits-eligible employees are automatically covered by a group term life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance policy.

    Are there tuition benefits at IIT?

    A. There are two types of tuition assistance at IIT:

    1. Tuition Remission for IIT classes:  The university provides IIT tuition remission for full-time members of the faculty and staff and benefits-eligible part-time staff. The purpose is to enable the employee, his/her spouse or eligible same-sex  partner, and dependent children to pursue educational programs at the university. This benefit begins the semester after the first day of employment.
    2. Tuition Reimbursement for non-IIT classes:  After one year of service, full-time staff may take job-related classes outside of IIT.

    To view a complete list of open positions, visit IIT's recruitment site.  Here, you can complete an application, view all open positions, apply for those you are interested, and check the status of previous applications.

    I found my perfect job at IIT and want to submit my information! What's next?

    Once you have chosen a position, click "apply for this position" and follow these steps:

    1. log in or create an account
    2. Complete or update application, verify information listed is correct and up to date. 
    3. Answer any supplemental questions and upload a resume and/or cover letter. 

    You will be asked to confirm your application once everything is complete. 

    Once you confirm your information, you're done!  You will receive a confirmation number that you can use to check the status of your application at any time.

    Human Resources reviews all applications and will notify applicants of their status as soon as possible.

    Help! I can't submit my application without a resume!

    If a posting requires a resume and/or cover letter, you will not be able to submit your application without these documents.  Please use the upload features to upload a PDF or Microsoft Word version of your resume and/or cover letter.  You can also use the text box to write out your resume.

    Can I submit more than one application for a position?

    IIT’s recruitment system only accepts one application for a position. 

    I want to email or mail you a copy of my resume.? Where should I send my information?

    IIT can only accept applications through the online recruitment site.  Emailed, faxed, or mailed resumes will not be considered for any staff position.

    I want to teach at IIT Where should I apply?

    Please use the phonebook directory, found at phonebook.iit.edu, to search for the appropriate department, and contact them directly.
