A. IIT extends benefits to same-sex domestic partners and their eligible dependents if the employee has submitted a certification of partnership.
A. All benefits-eligible employees are automatically covered by a group term life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance policy.
A. There are two types of tuition assistance at IIT:
- Tuition Remission for IIT classes: The university provides IIT tuition remission for full-time members of the faculty and staff and benefits-eligible part-time staff. The purpose is to enable the employee, his/her spouse or eligible same-sex partner, and dependent children to pursue educational programs at the university. This benefit begins the semester after the first day of employment.
- Tuition Reimbursement for non-IIT classes: After one year of service, full-time staff may take job-related classes outside of IIT.

Once you have chosen a position, click "apply for this position" and follow these steps:
- log in or create an account
- Complete or update application, verify information listed is correct and up to date.
- Answer any supplemental questions and upload a resume and/or cover letter.
You will be asked to confirm your application once everything is complete.
Once you confirm your information, you're done! You will receive a confirmation number that you can use to check the status of your application at any time.
Human Resources reviews all applications and will notify applicants of their status as soon as possible.
If a posting requires a resume and/or cover letter, you will not be able to submit your application without these documents. Please use the upload features to upload a PDF or Microsoft Word version of your resume and/or cover letter. You can also use the text box to write out your resume.
IIT’s recruitment system only accepts one application for a position.
IIT can only accept applications through the online recruitment site. Emailed, faxed, or mailed resumes will not be considered for any staff position.
