During his average work day at Paul V. Galvin Library on IITs State Street Campus, Nasir Mirza places assorted library items on reserve, designs and maintains the reserves database, hires and schedules student assistants who work in reserves and interlibrary loan, manages the Group Study Suite, and provides backup coverage for the circulation desk.

Nima Nemaei

A typical work day is anything but typical, says Nima Nemaei, who heads all technology concerns for IIT's Division of Auxiliary Services - the campus bookstore, Campus and Conference Centers, food services, housing, office and postal services, parking, and the HawkCard, the IIT ID card. Nemaei also oversees the technical needs of State Street Campus security.

Jessica Nicholson

Jessica Nicholson says that its not only her colleagues but the IIT students who provide the energy she thrives on each work day. In January 2008, Nicholson gave students some of her own energy as she accompanied a group of them to Haiti, where they met with officials to discuss the design and use of a pump to bring drinking water to the village of Pignon.
