MMF Program Ranked Top 25 by Quantnet
QuantNet has ranked IIT’s Applied Math Masters in Mathematical Finance (MMF) program 25th among the top 25 financial programs in the United States. The 2013-2014 QuantNet ranking is the most comprehensive ranking to date of master programs in Financial Engineering (MFE), Mathematical Finance in North America. IIT’s program, a professional master’s program, in one of the top 25 in Chicago; the other is at the University of Chicago. To do ranking, QuantNet surveyed program administrators, hiring managers and quantitative finance professionals from financial institutions for statistics reflecting student selectivity and graduate employment.
Started in fall 2008, the MMF program is designed to provide individuals interested in pursuing careers in financial risk management with advanced education in theoretical, computational and business aspects of relevant quantitative methodologies. This is a collaborative program between the Stuart School of Business and the Applied Mathematics Department and as such, offering the students the benefits of both.
