College of Architecture Faculty Take Home AIA Chicago Small Project Awards

Institute of Design End of Year Show Celebrates Student, Faculty Work
May 23, 2012More than 100 IIT Institute of Design students and faculty showcased a diverse selection of work to nearly 200 guests on Friday, May 11, at the school’s annual End of Year Show, which also celebrated ID’s 75th anniversary as the New Bauhaus. The show was divided into three parts that included large installations of the “Knowledge Box,” the “Concept Loop” and the “Future Design Experience.” -

Architecture Student Nghia Phan Wins Think Swiss Research Scholarship
May 23, 2012Architecture Ph.D. candidate Nghia Phan has been awarded the ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship, which supports highly motivated and qualified U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to do research at a public Swiss university or research institute for 2 to 3 months. Phan will receive a stipend to study at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland under Professor Fernando Porte-Agel, head of the Wind Engineering and Renewable Energy Laboratory. -
Google Groups to Replace myIIT Group Studio: Convert Now
May 23, 2012As the university completes migration of IIT email accounts and calendaring to Gmail and Google Apps for Education, the calendar that is default in myIIT Group Studio will be disabled. Group owners who wish to keep communication active among members should recreate their group in Google Apps for Education. -
