The annual IIT Main Campus network registration process will begin on Monday, July 29 at 7:30 am. Annual network authentication and registration are necessary to secure the shared technology resources of the IIT community.
All wired and wireless devices connected to the IIT network must be registered in order to access email, Internet or network systems. Users at other IIT campuses only need to register when they are on Main Campus.
On July 29, the first time you use a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, you will be prompted to register with the IIT network. If you are not prompted, type in the URL: http://dhcp.iit.edu or http://188.8.131.52 and follow the registration directions.
When prompted to register, follow the online instructions to first read and accept the IIT Use of Computer Resources Policy, then register using your IIT email address and password (myIIT login). Make sure to select the correct email address format, e.g., @hawk.iit.edu for students or @iit.edu for faculty and staff.
This year, the Office of Technology Services (OTS) is providing the option of early network registration. To register in advance of the Monday, July 29 deadline go to: http://dhcp.iit.edu/user and enter your IIT email address and password (myIIT login). Make sure to select the correct email address format, e.g., @hawk.iit.edu for students or @iit.edu for faculty and staff. All devices registered to your email account can be selected for pre-registration and you will not be required to register with the network on Monday. The cut-off date for pre-registration is Friday, July 26 at noon. Any devices that have not been pre-registered by that time must go through the standard process on Monday.
