CH2M Hill Water Resources Engineer Mason Throneburg Delivers Lecture On Urban Water Systems

Mason Throneburg, water resources engineer in the Chicago CH2M HILL office, will provide an introduction to Chicago’s combined sewer hydraulic model, the model’s application to date, and a discussion of how these tools can be used to assess the potential benefits and cost-effectiveness of gray and green infrastructure throughout Chicago from 3:40-4:30 pm on Wednesday, September 25 in Engineering 1. Throneburg┬áspecializes in collection system modeling, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of waterways, and watershed planning.

The Urban Water Systems lecture series, co-hosted by College of Architecture Professor Mary Pat Mattson and CAEE Associate Professor Dr. Paul Anderson, offers a series of seminar-style discussions focused on green stormwater infrastructure in Chicago. The lectures and discussions are open to everyone.
