    Psychology Endowed Professor Ron Landis Named SIOP Fellow, Awarded Best Paper of the Year by Organizational Research Methods

    The Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP) has named IIT Nambury S. Raju Chair of Psychology Ron Landis as a fellow, and a paper co-authored by Landis has been named a co-winner of the Best Paper of the Year for the journal Organizational Research Methods.

    The Graduate College and the IIT Chapter of Sigma Xi are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2012 Sigma Xi Research Awards. These awards recognize exemplary accomplishments in research, scholarship, and creative activity by IIT faculty members and graduate students.     ChBE Ralph Peck Lecture and Charles W. Pierce Distinguished Alumnus Award

    Join the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering for the 2012 Ralph Peck Lecture, "Protein Analogous Micelles: Versatile, Modular Nanoparticles," presented by Matthew Tirrell of University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory, at 4 pm on Friday, April 20 in Perlstein Hall. The 2012 Ralph Peck Lecture event also includes a student poster competition at 2 pm and presentation of the Charles W. Pierce Distinguished Alumni Award to T. S. Ramakrishnan, followed by a reception.

    Illinois Institute of Technology Wins 2012 Rotman Design Challenge

    In a competition involving twenty-two teams from the top MBA and graduate design programs from across North America, the team from Illinois Institute of Technology emerged on top of the 2012 Rotman Design Challenge. The competition was held at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School on Management on March 24. The IIT team narrowly edged out a team from OCAD University who won the competition last year.

    Engineering Professor Krishna Pagilla Named 2012 Bill Boyle Educator of the Year

    Environmental Engineering Professor Krishna Pagilla has been named the 2012 Bill Boyle Educator of the Year by the Central States Water Environment Association. This award is given to one educator each year in recognition of outstanding education assistance to students of any level in the study of the water environment. Pagilla will be honored on May 16, 2012 in St. Charles, Ill. at the CSWEA 85th Annual Meeting.
