Humanities Department Hosts Women’s History Month Open House March 28
March 19, 2012On Wednesday, March 28 the Humanities Department will host a Women's History Open House Event in the Siegel Hall, room 218 (conference room) from 3 - 4:45 pm. Everyone is welcome: students, staff, faculty, and all genders. There will be food, good conversation, and handouts on women's history resources, including a pocket timeline of interesting events in women's history put together by Humanities faculty. -
Humanities Professor Margaret Power was interviewed recently on two local radio stations, WRTE and Loyola University Community Radio’s show Poco a Poco. She discussed the anti-torture resolution unanimously passed by the Chicago City Council. Power is a member of the Illinois Coalition Against Torture, which sponsored the resolution declaring Chicago a torture-free zone.
