Illinois Tech Baseball Promotes Men’s Health Awareness with “No Shave November”
December 5, 2012You may have heard of “No Shave November” or “Movember” being promoted by some well-known athletes, like Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears and Aaron Rogers of the Green Bay Packers. Over November, the Illinois Tech baseball team also put down their razors in the hopes of raising awareness for men’s health. -
Illinois Tech Inks NAIA Scholar-Athletes
December 5, 2012The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for fall sports. Illinois Tech has representation in men’s and women’s soccer, women’s cross country and women’s volleyball. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor -

HAWK Fit Fitness Class Fall Schedule
September 12, 2012Illinois Tech Athletics offers trained instructors who teach a variety of fitness classes for all levels of fitness. To attend a fitness class, you must be either a current IIT, Shimer, or Vandercook student, faculty, or staff member, or have a Keating Sports Center membership. No previous experience is necessary to participate. Please wear workout attire. All classes will be offered in Keating unless otherwise specified. -

Marc Colwell Named Head Men’s Soccer Coach
April 9, 2012Marc Colwell has been named the head men's soccer coach at Illinois Institute of Technology. Colwell has assisted with the team for the past two seasons. The men's team finished 14-6 and won the CCAC regular season championship in 2010 and were 10-8-1 last season.
