Accreditation
IIT has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) since 1941.

Individual academic programs are also accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Counsel of Rehabilitation Education (CORE), the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE), and the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Illinois Institute of Technology is also accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). In obtaining this approval, IIT has demonstrated compliance with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is widely recognized as the standard of good practice internationally. As a result of Authorized Provider accreditation status, IIT is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.
