Subject: Financial Services

The university allows the employee to set aside income for a variety of programs through payroll deduction.

16.01 All employees qualify for the following services:

Direct Deposit - IIT offers the convenience of direct deposit, an automatic transfer of funds, crediting a paycheck to one or two banking or savings institution of the employee’s choice. Information and forms are available through the Payroll Office.

Select Financial Institutions offer a variety of financial products and discounted services that include checking and savings accounts through a direct deposit program.

Check Cashing Privileges - IIT offers check cashing privileges to employees at the Cashier's Office on the first floor of the Main Building. There is a small fee for this service.

Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) - ATM's are located in the Commons Building and Hermann Hall on the Main Campus and also at the Downtown Campus for the convenience of all employees.

16.02 Eligibility for Credit Union and Savings Bonds (Refer to Policy B. 1.00 for definitions)

Eligible Employees:
Full-time Employees
Full-time Faculty
Senior Research Associates
Research Associates
Part-time employees regularly
 working at least 23.25 hours/week

Not Eligible:
Temporary Employees
Adjunct and Part-time Faculty
Student Employees
Part-time Employees working
 less than 23.25 hours/week

Pacesetter Federal Credit Union - offers a variety of financial products and services that include loan programs, savings and checking accounts by payroll deduction or direct deposit. Applications and program information are available in Human Resources.

U. S. Savings Bonds - can be purchased through payroll deduction. Savings bonds are issued by the Treasury Department in pre-determined amounts as designated by the employee. Applications and program information are available in Human Resources.
