Sara Sustersic
Business Administration Undergraduate
For Sara Sustersic, learning about IIT was a kind of "market saturation." For the Business Administration undergraduate, a childhood of Chicago White Sox baseball games, a neighbor who was an IIT alum, and mailings from the Admission Office all made for a unique kind of product placement during her search for colleges.
Growing up in southwest suburban Palos Hills gave Sara access to downtown Chicago her whole life. Looking only at Chicago schools, Sara chose IIT because she "felt it was the best fit for me." If on-campus involvement is any indication of that "good fit", then Sara has found her glove: she's a sister of Kappa Phi Delta sorority, has served as treasurer of Union Board and is a member of IIT Entrepreneurship Academy and the Ed Kaplan Fellows Program. Sara is also a student recruiter and has recently been accepted as a Leadership Academy Scholar. She credits her professors in the Stuart School of Business for teaching her lessons that extend far beyond the classroom. "I've learned and accomplished more here in two years than I ever could have imagined."
