Eligibility for the Program
Students applying to the program must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.0 in high school. Close communication with advisors is required for students to reach their target completion dates for accelerated programs. Students must also meet the minimum graduate program admission criterion in the graduate program they wish to enter.
Application Process
Students apply in their senior year at IIT by the appointed deadline for their program. Students who successfully meet the minimum standards are granted admission to the Rehabilitation Counseling program.
Academic Program Requirements
Students admitted to the program complete the requirements of their undergraduate program in four years. Students are awarded their B.S. in psychology after successfully completing their fourth year of study. The course work during the fourth year serves as the final year of the B.S. program and includes coursework for the first semester of the M.S. program.
Graduation Requirements
Students enrolled in the Combined Degree program must follow the IIT Undergraduate Catalog to satisfy requirements for the B.S. Degree and the requirements set out in the Graduate Bulletin for the M.S. Degree. Close communication with advisors is required.
