Give to Psych

    David J. Vitale Scholarship

The Vitale Scholarship is a scholarship that is only available to psychology students at IIT. Every year, we award funds ranging from $500 to $3000 per year for 4 years to deserving students. All new psychology students are eligible to receive the scholarship.

    Awarding the Scholarship
In order to award the funds, we hold a competition each spring, usually coinciding with the Undergraduate Admissions Office's President's Day Open House of Preview Weekend. All admitted psychology students are invited to attend the competition which consists of a short welcome session, an exam containing an essay question and a few multiple choice questions followed by a wrap up session with a Q&A. The competition takes about 2 hours with the actual exam taking between 30-45 minutes. There is no need to study or prepare in any way. If students can not attend, special arrangements can be made with advance notice.
