Jordan Stein, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the College of Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2010. Her research interests are focused on examining organizational justice and related phenomena over time. Her most recent work blends aspects of behavioral ethics with justice perceptions. As an example, Dr. Stein and her colleagues currently have a manuscript in press at the Journal of Organizational Behavior examining the impact of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 on organizational punishment. Therein they describe their findings that individuals who engaged in deviance that violated strong social norms post 9/11, were punished more severely than individuals who had engaged in similar sorts of deviant behavior prior to the terrorist attacks.
