Benefits to Alumni
Our goal is to establish and enhance a mutually beneficial, enduring relationship between Psychology and all of its alumni. A wonderful group of alumni have enjoyed Psychology alumni events, lectures and networking during the College of Psychology era at IIT. The Lake Michigan Dinner Cruise and Dinner Suite at the White Sox Game stand out as a couple of highlights. We want to take these intermittent networking events from "occasionally for some of us" to "regularly for most of us." There is a lot to gain from building a stronger Psychology Alumni network. Our Board of Overseers and faculty suggest the following sample of potential benefits from a stronger Psychology Alumni Network:- Keeping connections alive with other alumni, faculty, and friends
- Well focused referrals alumni to alumni
- E-mail consultation opportunities
- Periodic updates on Psychology projects
- IIT alumni mentoring of students
- Faculty links with alumni needs and opportunities for students
- News and connection to IIT faculty/projects and alumni across time
- Limited, tastefully offered opportunities to give, speak, and participate on projects
Coinciding benefits offered to all alumni of the university may be found here.
We have found most of our alumni are appreciative of the education they received from IIT and have seen how the College of Psychology has grown and developed in amazing ways. We are working hard to advance our reputation by providing valuable services to our community and clients nationwide. Psychology also provides opportunities for alumni to continue their involvement with IIT and the College.
Please know that your participation (light or intense) is very helpful to Psychology and to IIT stakeholders such as you the alumni, students, and friends. We welcome your suggestions at any time.
