With
closer ties to a technological university than any other school in the
nation, Chicago-Kent College of Law has gained the reputation for
innovatively helping students master the legal lessons of the past as
well
as anticipate the technological and legal changes of the future.
Chicago-Kent faculty have focused much of their scholarship
on technology's impact on the law. Professor Lori Andrews has examined
bioethics and
reproductive technologies, most recently with her books "The Body
Bazaar: The Market for Human Tissue in the Biotechnology Age" and
"Future Perfect: Confronting Decisions About Genetics." Professor
Henry Perritt's book "Law and The Information Superhighway"
and articles by Professor Perritt and Richard Warner have grappled with
how law must adjust to the new realities of the Web.
Chicago-Kent prides itself on cutting-edge scholarship
and programs across many fields. As part of IIT, it has paved the way
for a more robust understanding of the pivotal role of technology in shaping
our nation's future.
