CAEE Assistant Professor Muehleisen Elected Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America IIT Today November 02, 2009 CAEE Assistant Professor and Director of the Miller Acoustics Lab Ralph T. Muehleisen was recently elected a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) for his "contributions to Architectural Acoustics and Acoustics Education" and was presented with his fellowship credentials at the plenary session of the 158th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in San Antonio on Wednesday, October 28.
The Acoustical Society of America is the oldest and largest acoustical society in the world. ASA was founded in 1929 with the purpose of diffusing the knowledge of acoustics and promoting its practical application. Members of ASA who have made notable contributions to the advancement or diffusion of the knowledge of acoustics or fostering its practical application are eligible for election to fellowship through nominations and supporting letters of recommendation.
