Module Abstract
This module was designed to teach elementary school children how to solve a design challenge while learning how to make informed decisions about their food and activity choices. "Engineering a Healthier Lifestyle” is a learning module that gives elementary students the opportunity to design, simulate, and present a personal food/activity plan that meets nutritional, health, scientific, and ethical criteria. Students will use the basic Engineering Design Process that integrates scientific inquiry and the following process skills: problem-solving; communication; team work; use of math, science, and technology; and ethical decision-making.Module Material
