FREE VACCINE

Have you received your meningitis vaccine? SHS has them for free beginning 8/23 on a first come first serve basis. The location and time for this event will be announced soon.

Immunization Form:

The due date to turn in immunization forms for the Spring 2009 semester has passed. Beginning 3/15 we will start placing holds on the accounts of those students that don't meet are requirements.

Insurance Card

Your health insurance card for the upcoming fall semester will be mailed out directly from Aetna to  your local address provided to IIT as long as you've updated it before 9/1.  To access your temporary insurance card, log on to www.aetnanavigator.com and register with your student ID number.

Summer insurance enrollment:

Summer coverage began 5/26, you may go to www.aetnastudenthealth.com to sign up for this coverage. The cost is $236 and the deadline is 6/26

You can now make appointments online by going to the appointment tab.

As a student of IIT, you are entitled to a wide variety of programs and services. Student Health Services (SHS) is a primary care facility that is sensitive to diversity. You may make an appointment to see the Nurse Practitioners and/or physician as many times per semester as needed, with no office visit charge.

Some services require a minimum fee, but these charges are generally much lower than comparable services provided elsewhere. In order to service our students most efficiently, we ask that you make an appointment to see either the NPs or the physician.

You may also access educational / printed materials provided by the SHS. These materials are designed to help you make informed decisions regarding your health.

No Show Policy:
A “NO SHOW” is defined as missing an appointment without canceling at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

- First “NO SHOW” will be noted.

- Second “NO SHOW” will result in a $10 fee!
