Workshops
Campus Life offers a series of workshops for student leaders and organizations each semester. HawkEye Workshops are designed to enhance your engagement in whatever role you fulfill!
All workshops are offered in person at least once per semester. In addition, two of our four current programs are offered online; you may watch the program your own and then complete the corresponding online quiz in order to receive credit.
Money Madness and the Transition workshops are available online.
Descriptions for our 2012-2013 workshops are as follows:
Money Madness: How To Spend Your Money: Manage organization finances and spend money like a professional after some guidance on the policies and procedures. This workshop is designed for treasurers and is a requirement of all student organizations.
Power Programming: Learn programming techniques from visualizing an event, to finding a venue and funding, to finally executing it successfully.
Transition: So you won the election- Now What?: You just became the new officer of your organization. Now what? In this workshop we will discuss how to successfully transition so you are not in the dark when it comes to leading your organization.
Public Speaking Workshop: This interactive workshop will give guidelines for topic selection, discuss how to prepare a speech and give students the opportunity to overcome their nerves by doing impromptu public speaking in an open setting.
If you or your student organization has any other topic that you would like presented to your group, please don't hesitate to let us know! One of the staff members from Campus Life would be happy to help.
