Shimer College

Beginning with the fall 2006 academic term, Shimer College expanded its operations to IIT’s Main Campus. Shimer brought approximately 100 students from its Waukegan campus to the 3424 State Street building.

Shimer remains an independent institution; however, students have access to IIT’s facilities and student services, such as athletic facilities, health and library services, and residential and dining options. In addition, Shimer and IIT students have cross-registration opportunities for selected classes.
