- Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.

- Science Electives - A minimum of eleven (11) hours is required to fulfill this requirement. A Psychology major should complete BIOL 114, 115, 121 or 122 and additional courses chosen from the following to total 11 hours: ASTR 201, 202; BIOL 101, 102, 104, 106, 109, 110, 113, 114, 115, 116, 119, 121, 122; BOTANY 201, 202; CHEM 105, 121, 122, 201, 203, 212; MICRO 119, 233, 234; PHYS 231, 232, 235, 236; ZOOL 211, 212, 216.
