I. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.
- Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.

- Science Electives for Computer Science majors - A minimum of fourteen (14) hours is required to fulfill this requirement. At least one natural science or engineering elective must be in a field other than physics. A CS major should complete PHYS 2111 and 2112 and additional courses chosen from the following to total 14credit hours: ANAT 1500, 1551, 1552; CHEMI 1105, 1211, 1212, 1551; BIOLO 1100, 1110, 1120, 1140, 1151, 1152, 2150; BOT 1320, 2360; EAS 1122, 1124; MICRO 2420; PHYSI 1100, 2112, 2115; ZOO 2250, 2260.
