Overview
Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) offers a bachelor's degree program in Information Technology and Management providing students with the skills that business and industry demand. The program is designed for students who are interested in earning a bachelor's degree while learning the skills required for a career in Information Technology. Students are accepted from a variety of programs and majors and are not required to have a technical education or background.
Information Technology and Management students can create a program of study that includes a comprehensive and unmatched set of courses provided by an extraordinary team of educators committed to student-centered education. Students complete course projects and build a project portfolio of relevant material that is shaped by a Project Advisory Board (PAB) and corporate involvement. Projects are mentored by faculty that are unrivaled in subject knowledge and real world experience. Many student projects have been recognized with awards, presentations to professional societies, newspaper articles, mention in trade publications, and even offers of employment.
Bachelor of Information Technology and Management (Bachelor)
The Bachelor of Information Technology & Management program is designed to produce graduates prepared for a career in the information technology field, while equipping them with the critical thinking skills necessary to cope with the emergence of new technologies and with management principles needed to advance in their careers.
The program is open to 4 year and transfer students and is appropriate for full or part-time students. Courses meet days (in Chicago), evenings and weekends and are available in Chicago, Wheaton and online. Students are accepted from a variety of programs, and are not required to have a technical education or background. Admission to the program is based on ACT/SAT scores (freshmen only), college transcripts and work experience if applicable. Full-time faculty are joined by working industry professionals to balance practical applications and theory.
