Ayokunle A., 3rd year Chemical Engineering student (planning to minor in Economics) from Lagos, Nigeria. Ayokunle goes by A.K. and loves the cold in Chicago. A.K is Treasurer for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, SGA Senator, and proud member of the National Society of Black Engineers. He loves playing soccer on the field and on Xbox 360. Upon graduation he plans to return to Lagos to help improve and advance his home country.
Shirley AK., 1st year Aerospace Engineering major from Ellensburg, WA. Shirley is involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Student Life, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Jessica F., 3rd year Camras Scholar and Architecture major from Bloomington-Normal, IL. Jessica is part of 33rd Street Productions, IIT Acappella, and enjoys taking voice lessons from VanderCook College of Music, writing, drawing, movie-watching and video-gaming.
Pablo H., 1st year Biomedical Engineering from Cochabamba, Bolivia. Pablo spends time enjoying the views in downtown Chicago. He is interested in helping future generations of people deal with health related problems by using modern technology.
Muyiwa JS., 2nd year Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lagos, Nigeria. Muyiwa is the President of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE-IIT) and a Student Advisor for the Finance Board (SGA) among other things. He loves going to new places (traveling), playing video games and cooking. Upon graduation he is interested in going back to Nigeria to improve the power and communications sector of the economy.
Anam K., 3rd year Electrical and Computer Engineering major and Business minor from Lahore, Pakistan. Anam is the Residence Hall Association (RHA) president and is a Leadership Scholar.
Lisa K., 3rd year Biomedical and Electrical Engineering student from Warren, MI. Lisa is the President of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority and a Leadership Academy scholar.
Shezami K., 4th year Biochemistry major from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Shezami spent her first two years of college in Malaysia and transferred to IIT in Fall 2007. She loves Chicago and hopes to stay for her future studies, pursuing a career in understanding the dynamics of epidemic diseases to increase the quality of public health.
Alicia P., 2nd year Psychology/Pre-Law major from Chicago, IL. She is a member of the Student Union Board, where she is currently the BOG General Entertainment Programmer and Historian. She is also a member of Latinos In Furthering Education and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. She loves to read, dance, sing, and swim in her free time, especially with friends and family members!
Sarah P., 4th year Architecture major from Glendale, CA. Sarah is a member of Kappa Phi Delta, and is interested in running, snowboarding, architecture, football, ultimate frisbee, and hiking.
Olivia R., 2nd year Biomedical Engineering student from Connecticut. Olivia's blog describes the day-to-day experience of an engineering student at IIT. She is involved in Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and Engineers Without Borders.
Galina S., 4th year Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering double major from Naperville, IL. She is involved in undergraduate research, the Society of Women Engineers, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In her free time she likes to play volleyball and watch science fiction shows with her friends, ice skate, and make sushi.
Etta T., 1st year graduate student studying materials science and engineering at IIT, with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from IIT. Etta comes from the Navajo Nation located in Arizona. She is a full blooded Navajo (Native American), and is a very friendly person.
Jenelle T., 3rd year Civil Engineering student from Ozark, MO. Jenelle is kitchen manager for Kappa Phi Delta.
Sarah W., 4th year transfer student majoring in Biomedical Engineering from Ottawa, IL. Sarah is involved in the VanderCook Wind Ensemble, Kappa Phi Delta, Community service projects, and works as an Admission Intern. Her interests include poetry, music, dancing, sewing, exploring Chicago, and food consumption.
