ACM - IIT Programming Competition League

Overview

The ACM-IIT Programming Competition League (AIPCL) is a programming competition between teams of three students to solve non-trivial programming problems within a certain time limit. The format and rules of this competition follow those of the International ACM Programming Competition.

AIPCL is designed to prepare students for the regional ACM programming competition held annually in the fall. The ACM student chapter invites students from both IIT and surrounding universities to participate.

During practices, each team will be given 3-4 problems to complete in 3 hours. During the elimination round and the actual competition each team will be given 5-7 problems to be completed in 5 hours. Anything on paper can be brought into the competition. This includes printed source code and reference/text books.

Practices will consist of problems from past regional ACM programming competitions and will be open to students from both IIT and other universities.

If you're interested in participating, take a look at the sample problems below and contact with your team of three or less. The competition is open to both undergraduates and to graduate students who have not received a degree yet. The more in a team, the greater the chances of winning. However, teams of less than three still get to take home a full team's worth of prizes.
