the ever changing experience of the city from the l-track - a speed phenomenon!
different speeds create a different perception of the city. the size of the city comes into play!
how can this influence the city of the future?

what story does this track tell?
we have started to collect materials as well as to
create a digital model of chicago.
while riding the 'l' we were confronted with one of the major problems of
big american cities - the suburbanization and a belt of left open land around
the downtown area which isolates the living areas from the working areas.
we thought about several solutions for this problem in which we could imagine to integrate the l as a tool of reurbanization. the 'l' closes the gap in terms of transportation but on the elevated tracks the destroyed inner suburb belt is more obvious than on the highways. maybe the 'L' can bring back the city!?
