Arch 225 - CAD IN PRACTICE (Kearns)

Assignment 11 - Assignment due final class session 12/2/03

Our final assingment has three major elements that will combine the 2d drawings with the 3d model.

First (3dsmax) create simple materials for the different surfaces and objects in your scene and apply them to your model, then setup and render 2 different scenes.
   1. an interior perspective view.
   2. a sectioned interior perspective (start from an orthographic elevation view and then switch to perspective mode and your perpective will be a perfect viewpoint)
save these renderings as tiff files.

Second (ACAD) take the matching cross section you generated last assignment and properly compose a poche'd building section at 1/2"-1'-0".

Third (ACAD) insert the renderings you made earlier into your autocad drawings. Scale the sectioned perspective so that it aligns with the 2d drawing. Setup this drawing and the second rendering in your layout sheets.

Save a final version of all your files in a folder called fin_sub within the root of your file structure. Save your ACAD files as verion 2002 or lower.
