Arch 225 - CAD
IN PRACTICE(Kearns)
Exercise 8
Begin or continue modeling the walls floors and ceilings of your chosens space.
Use either program, or a combination of the two, as well as a combination
of any of the commands we have covered so far. Pay careful attention to
simplifying the number of elements used to create an object. Also don’t
forget about the 2d based commands we learned last week (i.e. thickness.
At the end of the semester we hope to have your model nearly as complete
as your drawings so feel free to take the model further if you are interested.)
At minimum for the following class period have all walls, floors, ceilings,
staircases.
For next class period you should have two models. 1 autoCAD, 1 3dStudio.
After you complete the model in one program, bring the model into the
other by means of importing/exporting. For the next couple assignments
we will be maintaining a model in both environments for more insight into
the moving back and forth between programs.
