Getting there...

Another beautiful day on the site this Saturday. The roof on the atrium is still being worked on but is progressing well. All of the plywood decking was placed onto the rafters and the ends of the rafters were cut. Down below, the recycled windows were being put into the framing. By the end of the day, all of the windows on the west side of the house had been put in (8 in all, with a few put in on Friday). While the house has been going well, injuries have finally happened. Two injuries, one on monday and one today, both resulting in going to the hospital (although both were minor and a certain person did return to work right after receiving a few stitches for a deep cut). This coming week, the roofing membrane should be put on and the house should finally be closed up as the final windows go up and moisture begins to get sealed out.
