Honors Law Program
Should speech on the Internet be regulated?
Who should have access to the results of genetic testing?
Who owns the anticancer agent discovered in an extract from a
rare marine creature?
Do the potential benefits of cloning outweigh the possible abuses?
These questions represent some of the fastest growing areas of the law that
require attorneys with strong preparation in the sciences. These areas
include patent, information technology, environmental, and health care law.
If you're interested in biology, chemistry, or physics and intrigued by the
law, our Honors Law Program may be for you. The Honors Law Program is a
Seven-Year Program leading to the Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor
degrees. Illinois Institute of Technology is the nation's only institute of
technology with its own law school, Chicago-Kent College of Law which is
renowned for its emphasis on science and technology. By combining an IIT
undergraduate science and law school education, you will prepare for the
legal profession in a truly distinctive way.
