Professional Interests

I currently operate and maintain an x-ray beam-line at the Advanced Photon Source---a synchrotron facility at Argonne National Laboratory. My primary interests in this line of work involve x-ray optics including undulator source characteristics, x-ray crystal diffraction, and grazing incidence optics.

Connected to this research is the physics behind the acceleration of charged particles. The International Linear Collider project is of great interest to me and I intend to participate in the research that brings this project on-line in the next decade.

I also have interests in mathematical physics topics such as General Relativity and Quantum Field Theory. These are quite formidable topics requiring Differential Geometry and Fibre Bundles.
