Fall 1999 -- Marketing Bronzeville

The Bronzeville IPRO is a student run interdisciplinary project whose primary goal this semester was to devise a marketing strategy to make the Bronzeville community attractive to businesses and tourists. In previous semesters, the idea of the business incubator to stimulate economic development was the chief focus.

For this semester, the team focused on three key parts: 1.) the History and Historical Landmarks of Bronzeville 2.) The businesses and needs of the community and 3.) the marketing of Bronzeville.

The team examined the rich history of Bronzeville and the landmarks. An assessment of Bronzeville was also undertaken to find out the pros and cons of the area as well as the needs of the community. After compiling all of the information, marketing was extensively studied. A formal strategy to sell the community was then devised.

This site (The IIT Bronzeville IPRO) was created by Dave Pantzer and is hosted by the Illinois Institute of Technology.
