With solid knowledge of the principles of entrepreneurship and the capability to apply that knowledge across multiple fields, the Entrepreneurship Program at IIT is creating businesses and actively participating in today's economy.

The Coleman Foundation (http://www.colemanfoundation.org) is committed to the principles of self-determination, self-reliance, self-respect, and individual initiative. The foundation believes these characteristics are essential to the development of entrepreneurs and the pursuit of self-employment, and has worked to establish entrepreneurship as a career option and field of study for individuals of all ages.

The Kern Family Foundation (http://www.kffdn.org) builds the future through values, education, and innovation. Its initiatives are intended to increase the quality and quantity of US engineering talent. The Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network was created to help colleges develop technical leaders with the entrepreneurial skills to build commerce in their communities.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy (http://www.iit.edu/~iea) is the student organization of the Entrepreneurship Program at IIT. It is dedicated to offering undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines the chance to experience entrepreneurship and become innovators. IEA's mission is to inform, promote, and influence ideas about entrepreneurship throughout the IIT community, with a focus on building viable student-operated businesses.
