Beginning with the fall 2006 academic term, Shimer College will expand its operations to IIT’s Main Campus. Shimer will bring approximately 100 students from its current Waukegan campus to the 3424 State Street building.

Shimer will remain an independent institution; however, students will have access to IIT’s facilities and student services, such as athletic facilities, health and library services, and residential and dining options. In addition, Shimer and IIT students will have cross-registration opportunities for selected classes.
