THIS GUIDELINE IS VALID FOR THE 2004 - 2007 ACADEMIC BULLETIN AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE 

  1. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.

    1. Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.

    2. Humanities - Choose one course from the following: ENG 101, 102, 103, 105, 113, 114, 121, 122, 123, 231, 285, 288; HIS 121, 122, 141, 142, 151, 152; HUM 151, 152; or PHL 101, 103, 104, 105, 106.

    3. Social Sciences - Choose one course from the following: ANT 101, 102, 103, 105, 150, 201, 275; ECO 102, 103, 150; GEO 104, 105, 106; PSC 150, 151, 184; SSC 190; or SOC 100, 120, 131, 175, 180, 201, 210, 225, 231.

    4. Choose one course from section B or section C or from the following: ARC 210; ART 110, 111, 112, 114, 210; ENG 170; HIS 155, 156, 191, 192; HUM 101, 102, 104, 105, 131, 165; IDS 101, 102; or MUS 110, 215, 216.

    5. Science Electives - A minimum of eleven (11) credit hours is required to fulfill this requirement. A Psychology major should complete BIS 110 or 103 and additional courses chosen from the following to total 11 credit hours: AST 100, 101, 102; BIS 100, 101, 102, 104, 105, 111, 112, 122, 190, 234; CHM 100, 110, 132, 140, 141; PHY 100, 101, 102, 106, 107.

  2. EQUIVALENCIES - Following is a list of courses that will transfer into the Psychology program at IIT and their direct equivalents at Triton College:
