Fire Protection Engineering (FPE)
Concentration
The career opportunities for graduates from FPE concentration are as
fire protection project designer, fire protection professionals, and many
opportunities connected to insurance, sprinkler companies, and fire protection
design firms. After understanding the dynamics of fire and how to model
fire, students learn how to design a complete fire protection system including
sprinklers, standpipes, selection of fire pumps, and special suppression
and detection systems. Additionally, students study the fire protection
and life safety codes in buildings.
