The Gallery

Two weeks ago IIT's own art gallery opened in the Kemper room of Galvin Library. The gallery, run by the Illinois Institute of Technology Art Board chose as its first show an exhibition featuring the work of art produced through the process of rapid imaging prototyping. The gallery opened on November 10 th , 2004 .

The IAB and Gallery staff were a direct result of Spring'04 EnPRO 359's work. From their momentum came a gallery for IIT. The Kemper Room at Galvin Library became the gallery's space for one year. Although small, the space is an ideal setting for the art.

The question now becomes what next? The role of the current semester EnPRO 359 is to continue the momentum of a previous semester and answer fundamental questions concerning the gallery and its space.
