Research Interests:

Biochemistry, molecular and developmental genetics of gene-regulatory hierarchies controlling germline sex determination in the laboratory fly, Drosophila melanogaster .
Structure-function studies of zinc finger transcription factors.
Structure, function, expression, and evolution of genes involved in female germline development.
Research at the Illinois Institute of Technology supported by grants from the Illinois Division of the American Cancer Society , and from the National Institutes of Health .
