How are fraternities and sororities run?
Each group has its own organizational structure that they rely on for day-to-day operations.  These officers are often assisted by a host of volunteers, ranging from alumni to national board members.  These volunteers offer leadership guidance and resources to the undergraduate chapter.  In addition, universities usually have a full-time staff member who works directly with Greek organizations.  At IIT, Erin Gray is the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life and serves as the main contact for fraternities & sororities.  She can be reached via email or at 312.567.5133.

Are there any kind of housing requirements for Greek students?
The Quad at IIT is home to six fraternities and two sororities.  Each group has its own rules regarding if and when members must live in the house.  Every chapter with a house is overseen by a housing corporation or alumni board who assist in the administrative tasks of running a house.  The cost of living in at each organization varies, so be sure to ask questions about housing requirements when you visit.
