Living on the Quad
The Quad is home to six fraternities
(PKF,
SFE,
DTD,
ASF,
FKS, and Triangle) and two sororities
(ASA and
KFD).
These houses are home to between 20 to 50 members, dependent upon
available space. Each chapter also holds weekly membership
meetings in their chapter room, and may hold other events at the
house, as needed.
Throughout the year, the grassy area of the
Quad is abuzz with activity. In the warn months, pick up
football games, cookouts and volleyball games are a common sight.
During our cold Chicago winters, snowball fights and snowman
building contests abound. Even if you aren't Greek, stop by
and see what's going on!
Safety on the Quad
Houses on the Quad are inspected quarterly by
IIT Facilities Management and the Office of Fraternity & Sorority
Life. These inspections ensure the safety and security of our
Greek students.
IIT Public Safety monitors the Quad just as
any other area of campus is watched. Officers and students
have a good working relationship to maintain the sanctity and
openness of the area.
