How do I apply for the CHARGE program? |

The process is simple. First you must have a current IIT Campus ID Card. You can pick up an application form from the HUB Director’s Office, the Housing Office, or a Sodexho Marriott cashier. Turn in the completed application & agreement form at the HawkCard Office located in the Herman Union Building and have your ID encoded. Then you are set to go. __________ |

What are the benefits of the CHARGE program? |

SECURITY – No need to carry cash. FLEXIBILITY – Can be used at all Sodexho Marriott food venues. NO INTEREST – Unlike most charge cards, there are no interest costs as your balance is paid in full through payroll deduction. EASE OF PAYMENT – When purchasing food, just present your ID and inform the cashier that you are paying with the CHARGE program. STATEMENTS – Upon request, a detailed statement of your charges can be provided to you; receipts will be issued at the time of the purchase so that you can track your expenses. __________ |

Can I allow others to use my CHARGE program? |

No. For security reasons, you must be present when the ID is used. You can, however, purchase meals for others with your CHARGE, as long as you are present at the time the purchase is made. __________ |

What if I lose my ID? |

Because only you will be allowed to use the ID to make a CHARGE purchase, there should be no risk to you. However, for your protection, you should immediately call the HawkCard Office to notify them that your ID has been lost and request a new ID. Their phone is 567.8975. You will not be held responsible for charges made after you notify the card office of your lost ID. __________ |
