HawkCard Policy

The Access, Card, and Parking Services Office is your one-stop shopping for all card-related services. Your HawkCard is your Illinois Institute of Technology photo ID. It serves many purposes on campus, and will be one of your most valuable possessions during your association with IIT. Should you experience and problems with your HawkCard, please visit the Access, Card, and Parking Services office.

Your HawkCard has many features, including: photo identification, parking lot access, HawkCash, building access, meal plan, shuttle bus, checking out materials from the library, use of Keating Hall athletic facilities, and use of computer labs.

Access, Card and Parking Services reserves the right to issue HawkCards based upon the policies in place at the time of issuance. Your HawkCard must be carried with you at all times, and must be presented to campus authorities upon demand. Your HawkCard is non-transferable and is the property of Illinois Institute of Technology. Fraudulent use will result in disciplinary action. A replacement fee of $15 will be charged for damaged, lost, or stolen cards. You are responsible for immediately reporting a lost or stolen card, and can be held accountable for use of such a card if not reported immediately. Use of a HawkCard constitutes acceptance of all terms under which it was issued.

When taking a photograph for the HawkCard do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline. Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons.
