IEEE Membership
The IEEE has two levels of membership available to students: Student Branch Membership and National Membership.
Student Branch Membership
IEEE @ IIT membership is open to all interested IIT students, especially those majoring in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Members receive emails regarding branch events and opportunities to participate in various local activities. To join, simply fill out the online membership form here, or attend a general meeting to fill one out on the spot. Student Branch membership is free.
National Membership
IEEE National membership is open to professionals working in the Electrical/Computer Engineering and Computer Science fields, as well as students majoring in those same areas of study. Members receive valuable IEEE publications regarding new technologies and jobs, invitations to conferences and meetings, and the opportunity to join any of the many IEEE Societies that focus on specialized areas of the industry. To join, fill out the membership form at IEEE.org. National membership for students is $30 per year (a great deal!), and membership in IEEE Societies ranges from $6-$24 per year.
