Goals
Establish and maintain positive relationships and serve as the primary
liaison between the University and area community groups, local educational
institutions, area businesses, public housing resident leadership, community
and city-wide institutions.
With the above groups, identify and implement community development
strategies for the economic, social, educational and physical improvement
of the communities surrounding Illinois Institute of Technology.
Support IIT's students, faculty and staff in engaging in community-related
academic and service programs, including community-based Interprofessional
projects, research and support for K-12 educational improvement.
Present the annual IIT Community Recognition Dinner to salute community
leaders.
