The Chicago Alliance for Minority Participation is a
Partnership of
Chicago Area Universities and Institutions with
The National Science Foundation.
The purpose of the Alliance is to increase
the participation of traditionally underrepresentated groups in science,
engineering, and math (SEM) disciplines. IIT's Educational Technology
Center is working with Chicago State University to establish a
Technology
Center at CSU. Quizzing is now taking place at CSU with questions
residing on IIT's science questions database. Interactive tutoring is
also in place and being used extenstively. Tutors at IIT's ETC interact
and answer questions posed by CSU student sitting in the CSU Center. The
distance learning occurs via a broad band modem using a dedicated leased
line.
